Born in Chon Buri, Thailand, Nichakan earned a Bachelor's degree in Maritime Transportation from the International Maritime College before working in customer service for ocean export operations. She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Maritime Technology and Logistics at Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology, with a research focus on predicting vessel estimated time of arrival using interpretable machine learning and AIS data.

Develops an interpretable machine learning framework using AIS data and a stacking ensemble to predict ETA for fixed-route ferries, with SHAP-based analysis of the key predictive factors.
